I wanted to replace my drag race style HPM Mega-Bite Jr Rear Lower Control Arms with some that would work better for road racing/open track events.

My requirements were:

1) Rod ends or spherical bearing at both ends of the LCA’s.

2) Adjustable spring perches for conventional springs.

3) Stock style sway bar mounts.

4) Reasonably priced.

I found various aftermarket LCA’s that met some of the requirements, but I could not find any that met all of the requirements.  So I decided to make my own.

First I made a 3-D computer model of the arms.  Then I gathered the materials and I built them.  I had to modify the sway bar bracket from the original design due to a clearance issue.

The VCE LCA’s have seen thousands of street miles and multiple track days without any issues.
