My 1985 Mustang GT - K-Member Modifications

I modified my stock K-member to improve my front suspension geometry.  The changes also allow me to use SN95 A-arms and 17”X9” wheels with 275/40R17 tires.

There are 5 key points to the K-member modifications that I made:

1) Moved A-Arm mounting points 1/2" inboard per side.

2) Moved A-Arm mounting points 7/16" upwards.

3) Moved all holes equal amounts.

4) Fully welded every seam/joint on the K-member.

5) Created clearance for a 7-quart road race oil pan on the RH side.
